Gunmen opened fire indiscriminately on a nightclub
The information about the massacre in a disco in Mexico in the early hours of Sunday is shocking.
At least 15 people have been killed in an armed attack on a nightclub in the central Mexican state of Guanajato, local prosecutors say.
"Fifteen people have died," a spokesman for the prosecutor's office said.
According to local media reports, the gunmen opened fire indiscriminately inside the "La Playa Men's Club" center, killing 15 people and injuring seven others.
The perpetrators then fled in a van waiting for them outside the nightclub.
Police rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area, searching for eyewitness accounts and security camera footage to track down the perpetrators.
