"Macedonia your next destination"
Skopje appears as "Macedonia" at the ongoing Berlin International Tourism Fair (ITB). The neighboring country "places" on the front of its stand, the mottos "Macedonia your next destination" and "Macedonia Timeless" and in smaller letters - which are barely visible - the Tourism Organization of Northern Macedonia.
German organizers, however, refer to Skopje on the exhibition's website as "Republic Nordmazedonien".
The well-known travel site omorfataxidia.gr, which covers the Berlin Tourism Fair, states meaningfully: "At the same time in the Greek pavilion, there are stands with three Macedonians. Eastern, Central and Western. It is doubtful whether foreigners understand what Macedonia is in the end ".
