The "Cypriot" wanted Jho Low is in contact with the Malaysian authorities, according to revelations of Al Jazeera. In a series of documentaries, the Arab network presents evidence surrounding the case, focusing on the wanted businessman.
The videos, titled Jho Low: Hunt For A Fugitive, show conversations he had with the Malaysian authorities where he is negotiating his release. Specifically, there are telephone conversations he had with the former head of government Mahathir Mohamad.
In conversations in 2018, Low betrays his associates, offers other fugitives as possible witnesses in 1MDB-related cases, and complains about the rising cost of legal representation.
Al Jazeera also presents FBI agents who have been involved in the investigation into the 1MDB scandal since the beginning of the case.
Low, unrepentant, blames former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, who was finance minister when billions were stolen from the coffers. According to Low, most of the money Najib received from the $ 1 billion came from 1MDB and not from the King of Saudi Arabia. Low also claims that most of the money was spent on jewelry for Najib's wife and refers to one of the $ 27 million diamonds.
He also blames Abu Dhabi. "The reality is that the people of Abu Dhabi got money.
