The streets of Lahore were flooded by heavy rains, resulting in the tragic death of six people, while many drivers were trapped in their vehicles. The meteorological service warned that due to the monsoon, the rains are expected to continue for the next 24 to 48 hours.
According to the spokesman of the rescue services, at least four people were killed when the roofs of houses collapsed due to the rain, while two other people were electrocuted.
Boat rescuers were able to reach and free many people stranded on the outskirts of the city due to the floods, said Jam Sajjad Hussein.
