Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson for three hours and 15 minutes.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu was also present at the meeting. No statements were made after the meeting. It is noted that on Friday morning the Foreign Ministers of the two countries will have a meeting and will then give a joint press conference.

Erdogan announced his priorities and expectations for Syria and other regional issues to US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson at a meeting Thursday, a Turkish presidential source said.

According to Turkish government sources quoted by the Anadolu agency, the Turkish President conveyed to the US Secretary of State the bilateral relations between the two countries, regional issues and the fight against terrorism were on the table. According to the same publication, Erdogan conveyed his country's priorities in the region, but also what he expects from the United States.

According to DailySabah, Tayyip Erdogan raised his concerns with Tillerson over US support for Syrian Kurds.

However, Rex Tillerson, who was found earlier in Lebanon, denied the allegations, saying the United States had never supplied the YPG with heavy weapons, stressing that it had no reason to apologize.
