After killing her with a sushi knife, he cut off her head
A 29-year-old Chinese man who slaughtered his girlfriend and then beheaded her was sentenced to life in prison on Monday 10/34.
According to Ohio authorities, Jiansen Liang stabbed Qihong Chen's 200-year-old girlfriend 33 times, using a sushi knife, and then beheaded her. The incident happened on the night of July 27, 2017 and the body of the unfortunate woman was found in her apartment in Fairview Park, Cleveland.
Shortly afterwards, the perpetrator visited a police station in the area and confessed to his heinous crime.
The 34-year-old was examined by psychiatrists, to whom he said he attacked and killed Chen because he saw some visions, in which the girl was transformed into a monster, while at the same time he had started hearing voices. They diagnosed that he was suffering from a mental illness, but could not agree on the extent of the illness when he committed the crime.
His lawyer, however, said, among other things, that his client has a low IQ and is bipolar.
Prosecutors concluded that the perpetrator did not only see the victim amicably and that he wanted to have an affair with him. The judge found him guilty of murder and abusing a corpse and sentenced him to life in prison, forcing him to serve at least 25 years before he had the right to request parole.
