Russia's Roscosmos space agency and China's National Space Agency have today signed an agreement to work together in the field of lunar and space exploration and to establish a Unified Data Center for Lunar Programs.

The agreement was signed by the two delegations at the International Space Exploration Forum (ISEF) currently taking place in Tokyo.

The two sides expressed their willingness to consider the possibility of cooperation for the launch of the Russian spacecraft Luna-Resurs-1 in 2022 but also for the planned Chinese mission that is expected to land at the south pole of the Moon in 2023.
