A passenger train derailed in Seville today, injuring 21 people, one of them seriously, the Andalusian emergency services said.
The train was running from Malaga to Seville. The derailment, near the community of Arachal, is due to adverse conditions due to heavy rainfall in the area, according to the representative of the Spanish national railway organization Renfe.
Andalusian emergency services had earlier announced that they had been called to more than 100 incidents, mainly road accidents, caused by extreme weather in the Seville area.
