The Council of Ministers, in its session yesterday, decided to increase by 3,2 million the amount for student allowances, which will be granted for the academic year 2020-2021, ie from 5 million, already paid to the beneficiaries, to 8,2 , XNUMX million, states an announcement.
Specifically, with adjustments of the foreseen "points", allowances will be granted to more beneficiaries of student sponsorship, in a way that will be available to the students the total of the available fund (8,2 million).

It is noted that due to the narrow time frame, the student allowances will be paid in the bank account (IBAN) already declared by the beneficiaries, ie where the Student Sponsorship was paid (including the cases of direct payment to an academic institution, etc.).
A list of additional beneficiaries as well as the allowances for which they are eligible will be posted on the website of the Student Welfare Service, the Higher Education Directorate of the Ministry of Education, Culture, in due course.
