Kyriakos Kousios assumes the duties of Minister of Labor and Social Insurance today, Monday, succeeding the late Zeta Aimilianidou, while Mr. Kousios will be replaced by Petros Dimitriou as Deputy Minister in addition to the President.
According to a written statement by Government Spokesman Marios Pelekanos, President Nikos Anastasiadis, exercising the powers granted to him by the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus, decided to appoint Kyriakos I. Kousios, currently Deputy Minister to the President, as Minister of Labor.
Petros Dimitriou, currently Director of the Office of the President of the Republic, is appointed Deputy Minister in addition to the President.
Pantelis Pantelidis, currently head of the Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, assumes the duties of Director of the Office of the President of the Republic.
The appointments will take effect from today, Monday, June 27, 2022, during which the ceremony of confirmation and assumption of duties of the new officials will take place at 09:00, the announcement concludes.
