The defendants in the much-praised case of the Co-operation were acquitted by the Nicosia Criminal Court.
The accused were: Dimitrakis Stavrou, Erotokritos Chlorakiotis, Konstantinos Lyras, Maria Chlorakiotou, Karolina Angelopoulou, Maria Chrysanthou, George Mavreas, Detiero Enterprises Ltd, CHL Enterprises Ltd and Ktimatiki kotrona Ltd.
The indictment included, among other things, conspiracy to commit fraud, misappropriation of goods with false representations and money laundering.
