They denied the charges against the two defendants in connection with a case of abuse of minor girls by their own mother. The latter allegedly videotaped and photographed her heinous acts and sent them to her 52-year-old partner.

Yesterday, the two defendants appeared before the Permanent Criminal Court of Limassol, where in more than 15 charges they were pronounced in camera.

The two face charges related to conspiracy to commit a crime, ie obtaining child pornography material, as well as two charges of sexual abuse of a minor under 13 years of age. Specifically, the 40-year-old mother is charged with offenses of production of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and acquisition. On the other hand, her 52-year-old friend is accused of inciting a criminal offense, ie production, distribution and access to child pornography.

During yesterday's proceedings, as "F" is informed, the representative of the Prosecution Authority requested the detention of the two defendants until the beginning of the trial. The 52-year-old's lawyer objected to his client's detention request, while the 40-year-old's lawyer left the request to the court.

The Permanent Criminal Court set a new procedure on December 6 where it will decide on the detention of the two, while it set the case for a hearing on February 28, 2022.

According to what came to light recently, the 40-year-old mother allegedly acted at the suggestion of her friend in order to satisfy his sick appetites. There are testimonies and evidence against the accused that she was committing obscene acts against her children, which she recorded in videos and photos and sent to her friend after he asked her to. What is recorded from the content of the data collected from the mobile phones of the two defendants causes disgust.

As "F" mentioned in a previous article, sexual offenses against children are punishable by many years in prison. While according to the law, when children under the age of 13 are involved, up to life imprisonment is provided.
