In view of the timely shielding of the vulnerable population of the elderly from seasonal infections, in view of the winter, the Ministry of Health proceeds from the beginning of October to the priority vaccination of the citizens against Influenza A.

In a meeting held today under the Minister of Health Mr. Michalis Hadjipandelas, with the participation of Officers of the Ministry of Health and the Health Insurance Organization, Mr. Hadjipandella was informed in detail about the procedure to be followed for the vaccination of beneficiaries.

The Influenza A vaccination will take place in the offices of the Personal Doctors and is expected to start in the first days of October. The distribution of vaccines to Personal Physicians will be done through the procedure applied by the Health Insurance Organization since last year. More information will be announced next week.

At the same time, the Minister was informed about the delivery schedule of the total of 180,000 vaccines ordered, a number that is increased by 25,000 compared to that of 2020. So far, 60,000 vaccines have been received and 2 are expected to be received.th batch of 50,000 vaccines per week. The remaining quantity will be received in installments by the end of October.
