Two people, a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, were arrested today by the Limassol Police, after locating a number of counterfeit banknotes. This is a number of counterfeit 10 euro banknotes, which were found in a postal package addressed to the 26-year-old suspect.

The counterfeit banknotes were located by an official of the Customs Department after checking a package sent from abroad to the Limassol Post Office, where a 24-year-old woman showed up shortly after 10.30 on Wednesday morning to pick it up.

After the customs officer found that inside the postal package was a package of 10 euro banknotes, members of the Limassol TAE went to the post office for examinations. Examinations of the banknotes revealed that they were counterfeit, as they bore the same serial number. VA6612121577.
