The press officer of the Ministry of Health, Konstantinos Athanassiou, made new clarifications regarding the inspections of the premises.

Speaking on the front page, he explained how those who have received a dose of the vaccine will be tested. In particular, he said that through the CovScan application will be checked and there will be the addition of a new category, purple, which will indicate to those in charge of the premises that this person has a dose, so he needs to indicate a negative laboratory test.

So from December 18, two QR codes will be needed for verification. One will be for the single-dose vaccine, which will turn purple during the test, and the other will be negative (blue for PCR, yellow for rapid test).

However, the control with the new color category has not been implemented yet, the citizens with a single dose will have to indicate their vaccination card to prove that they have been vaccinated and then the negative test will be checked through CovScan.

Asked what will apply to those who do not take a booster dose after seven months, he replied that for whom the period of 7 months has passed since the second dose of the vaccine for the two-dose vaccine and one dose for the single-dose vaccine, for purposes SafePass should undergo a 72-hour PCR laboratory test or a 48-hour rapid antigen detection test for individuals 18 years of age and older.

It is noted, however, that the Rapid test will be provided free of charge through the sampling points of the Ministry of Health, until at least January 15, 2022, when the decision will be reviewed based on what will be decided by the EU for the validity of the European Vaccination Certificate.
