The Social Security Services, in an effort to further serve the citizens, issue on a weekly basis an announcement regarding the date of the examination of the received applications and which concern pensions, allowances, aids.
It is noted that the examination of the applications received at earlier dates is pending, for which additional information has been requested and is expected from the applicants.
- Unemployment benefit:
- The applications of those employees whose employment was terminated and their period of unemployment began on 05/04/2021 are being examined.
- The cases of those who are already receiving unemployment benefits for the period of unemployment between May and June 2021 are examined.
- Surplus payment: Applications submitted in June - July 2020 are examined. It is noted that there are a number of applications submitted before the above date for which the examination can not be completed because the employers have not yet sent the requested information.
- Illness allowance: A pan-Cypriot campaign is underway to examine the applications.
(applications received until 06/05/2021 are examined) - Disability pension: Applications received in March 2021 are examined, provided that they have been sent to the Medical Council.
- Disability pension: The received applications December 2020 - February 2021 are examined considering that they have been sent to a Medical Council.
- Injury allowance: Applications submitted in May 2021 are being considered.
- Secondary medical council: The hierarchical appeals of August - September 2020 are examined.
- Institutionalized pension: The received applications for which the applicants acquire the right January - February 2021 are examined.
- Social pension: The received applications for which the applicants acquire the right December 2020 - January 2021 are examined.
- Widow's pension:
- For cases where the deceased spouse did not receive a statutory pension, the received applications for February 2021 are examined.
- For the cases where the deceased spouse received an institutionalized pension as a spouse, the received applications of February 2021 are examined.
- With the enactment of the Amending Law 126 (I) / 2019 on Social Insurance on 05/08/2019, the received applications are examined, by male applicants of 2019, 2020 and 2021.
- Funeral aid:
- For the cases where the deceased received a widow's pension, the received applications of February 2021 are examined.
- In cases where the deceased / spouse received an institutionalized pension, did not have a spouse and the request for funeral assistance comes from another person who undertook the funeral expenses, the received applications of February 2021 are examined.
- For cases where the deceased received a social pension, the received applications are examined January - February 2021. For other cases (eg the deceased was / was not retired and had a spouse, the deceased did not was retired and did not have a spouse, the deceased was a young person, unmarried, and the application came from his / her parent or siblings, the deceased was missing) applications January - February 2021
- For cases where the deceased received a social pension, the received applications are examined January - February 2021. - Orphan allowance: The received applications March - April 2021 are examined.
- Childbirth allowance: Applications received in February - March 2021 are examined.
- Maternity allowance:
- For the first payment, the received applications are examined until 08/04/2021.
- For continuous payments, applications are examined for which the necessary information has been submitted (eg birth declaration) received February - March 2021
- Paternity allowance: Applications received in March 2021 are examined.
- Applications for statutory pension, widowhood and incapacity paid under bilateral conventions and European Union Regulation 883/04:
- Institutionalized Syntax: Applications for which responses have been received regarding data, certificates and insurance accounts from other institutions, for applicants with date of birth in 1954 - 1957 are examined.
- Disability Pension: Applications submitted in June 2021 will be considered.
- Widow's Pension: The applications received in June 2021 are examined, for which responses have been received regarding data, certificates and insurance accounts from other bodies.
- Orphan Allowance: Applications received in May 2020 for which responses have been received regarding data, certificates and insurance accounts from other institutions are examined.
- Criminal cases: In March 2021 (latest data) 1300 criminal cases were pending, of which 893 concerned employers and 407 concerned self-employed.
