All indications are that the fee of 350 euros that registered companies in Cyprus are required to pay each year will be abolished.

After yesterday's debate in the Parliamentary Committee on Trade on the issue, the Minister of Finance referred today to the reduction or abolition of the corporate fee of 350 euros.

Konstantinos Petridis from the floor of Parliament stated, among other things, that in the context of the tax reform, the reduction or abolition of the fee paid by companies each year, which amounts to 350 euros, will be considered.

It is noted that this target was initially implemented in 2012, as part of fiscal consolidation measures and since then has brought the state about 45 million euros.

It is recalled that the issue was discussed at yesterday's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Trade, where the opposition parties proposed the abolition of the company tax, while a representative of the Legal Service who was present at the meeting stressed that he would submit a written opinion on the issue. to be collected in 2022 are part of the budget submitted for voting.

However, it seems that the end of 350 euros will be abolished as the proposal seems to have the support of all opposition parties while based on what the Minister of Finance said today before Parliament, its abolition is being considered by his Ministry.
