The extraordinary allowance of € 9.282 was paid to 750 students

To date, the extraordinary allowance of € 750 has been paid to 9.282 eligible students, said the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, Prodromos Prodromou.

The extraordinary student allowance of € 750 is entitled to students who remained in their countries of study after March 21, 2020 - the day on which flights were suspended - and have registered or are registering an application online on the special platform of the Student Welfare Service, on the Website of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, on the basis of supporting documents proving their attendance. The allowance will be granted to those applicants who are approved, by payment directly to the bank account that has been declared.

In his statements to KYPE, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, Prodromos Prodromou, said that out of the 14.823 applications registered on the special platform for the € 750 allowance, 9.282 beneficiaries have been paid so far.

He noted that payments are ongoing and will be processed soon.

Mr. Prodromou also stated that applications can be registered until April 22, 2020.

In the meantime, for the remaining 5.541 applications out of the 14.823 registered, the checks continue and once completed, payment will be made.
