The payment on January 17, € 2,7 million in accounts of 4.600 beneficiaries who participate in the agri-environmental schemes of the Rural Development Program for 2021, announced the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organization (KOAP).

According to an announcement of the Organization, on January 17, 2022, a total of € 2.722.206,88 were transferred to the accounts of 4.600 applicants, while the processing of the remaining applications continues in order to soon pay the relevant subsidy to all beneficiaries participating in the Agri-Environmental Schemes of the Program. The main strategic pillar of KOAP is the support of the farmer himself, of each applicant for agricultural subsidies individually and in their entirety, as stated in the announcement by the Commissioner for Agricultural Payments Andreas Kyprianou, emphasizing that the staff of the Organization is always by the side of farmers to avoid errors that lead to delays or even penalties.

It is also noted that the Organization is determined to provide "every possible and legal assistance to the Cypriot farmer, so that the goal of zero loss of European funding is fully implemented", while emphasizing that the main concern of the Organization is valid and timely payments.
