The "Dione app" for geotagging photos, developed as part of the EU-funded Horizon 2020 project DIONE, aims to enable applicants to provide evidence (photographs) of their parcels, with a high degree of accuracy and reliability.

According to an announcement by KOAP, the Dione app is expected to have significant benefits for applicants, helping to simplify the on-site inspection process and reduce relevant time-consuming administrative procedures.

At the same time, it is added that it will allow the direct communication of the applicants with the Paying Agency, giving the first ones the possibility of collecting and submitting photos in specific points on the plot after receiving a relevant request from the KOAP.

Applicants will also be able to use the application freely by sending photos to the Paying Agency without prior request.

"The above is expected to contribute to the faster processing of applications and, subsequently, faster payment of aid. The DIONE app is available on google play to install the app on your mobile.
