The Ministry of Health, in an announcement, gives general information to the vaccinated about the AstraZeneca vaccine, pointing out that vaccination COVID-19 reduces the risk of a person becoming infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus which causes the disease COVID-19.

Like all medicines, it is noted that no vaccine is completely effective and it takes a few weeks after the vaccine to create protection from the body.

That is why, it is said, after vaccination the person should continue to apply the usual practices of personal hygiene and protection, such as frequent hand washing, maintaining social distance and using a face mask.

Some people, the announcement continues, may be affected by COVID-19 despite being vaccinated, however, vaccination will reduce the severity of any infection. It is emphasized that vaccination with both (2) doses of vaccine is required to reduce the chance of a person becoming seriously ill or dying.

It is pointed out that the vaccine can not cause the disease COVID-19 to the vaccinated.

In its instructions, the Ministry of Health urges vaccinated persons, before leaving the Vaccination Center after the administration of the 1st dose of vaccine, to make sure that they have scheduled an appointment for the 2nd dose, as better protection requires that someone be vaccinated with both. (2) doses of the vaccine

After the 1st dose, the vaccinated person receives a Vaccination Card COVID-19 which he must present when he arrives for the 2nd dose of vaccine.

Like all medicines, it is noted that vaccines can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Most of them are mild and do not last long and certainly do not happen to everyone. It is emphasized, however, that even if some symptoms occur after the first dose, the second dose should be given for better protection.

Common side effects of the vaccine COVID-19 AstraZeneca include local tenderness / swelling / redness / swelling / itching / bruising / burning sensation at the injection site, chills, tiredness, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle aches (pain), pain (myalgia) or pain.

Symptoms usually last less than a week. However, if the symptoms seem to be getting worse or if they are worrying, people are encouraged to contact their Doctor Staff.
