The Pancyprian Medical Association (PIS) speaks about unilateral decisions a few days before the pre-arranged meetings with the doctors.

According to a statement, while the Pancyprian Medical Association and the scientific companies involved are consulting with the Health Insurance Organization (OAY) and the doctors' unions with the State Health Services Organization (OKY) quality implementation and operation of the on-call clinics and while meetings have been arranged in the next few days, "to our surprise we were informed about the announcement of their immediate operation by the OAU, by sending a relevant memorandum containing both the operating schedule of the clinics the role of the on-call primary care practice ".

"The surprise continued with the announcement of an agreement between OAY and OKYPY without taking into account the opinion of those who will implement it", it is added.

The PIS regrets these unilateral decisions "which constitute a complete lack of respect for the institution of the PIS and the doctors' unions and create reasonable concerns for the proper and safe operation of these clinics".

Finally, it calls on the competent bodies to revoke any decisions and to respect the ongoing consultation.
