The EAC workers are going on strike at full speed tomorrow with the unions waiting on the phone for someone to contact them in order to have a discussion.
The President of EPOPAI, Kyriakos Tafounas, was hosted on Protoselidos who stated that so far there has been no response.
"From what we can see from the administrator's statements, only CERA and the administrator have dealt with the matter. Their conclusions show what we have been saying for years, the need to preserve the area of Dekelia for power generation, the need to replace these units that are costly and contribute to profiteering," he said.
He continued by saying, "we will implement the measures and they will be indefinitely because the first part concerns the safety and health of the staff and the serious understaffing of the organization. As far as Decelia is concerned, we have called on people not to participate in any activity that constitutes illegality or contributes to profiteering.
For us workers, the measures are not an end in themselves. If no decisions are made, they have no other choice for us than to proceed with the implementation of the measures and, if necessary, to escalate them."
