The situation with the implementation of the exams every four months was stressful, full of stress for the students who are drowning in the continuous written assessment and who together with our teachers are running to cover the material, PSEM states in its announcement, which warns that if do not change anything will continue with dynamic measures.

At the same time, he calls on all students to participate in a mass mobilization on Thursday, January 16, at the Presidential Palace to shout for a people-centered and democratic school.

"In our meeting with the Minister of Education on December 20, it became clear that the Ministry is not only unwilling to discuss the abolition of exams every four months, but also does not seem to make any changes. Unfortunately, our calls for the abolition of examinations every four months and the formation of a student assessment system that will be more based on alternative assessment methods, will require a significant reduction in material, will eliminate competition between students and schools and will provide comprehensive education and development. of critical thinking and not just specialization, they are not listened to ", he adds.

According to PSEM, those who are in favor of the exams bring the improvement of grades as an argument.

"Is this the school we dream of?" Graduation school? As PSEM, we definitely want all students to get good grades. "To get good grades through a process that will develop them in many ways and will not turn them into robots that simply chase matter," he notes.

PSEM states that it will never stop emphasizing the need to change the education system and in particular the way students are evaluated.

"School is the place where we build the foundation to become people who are useful to society and not specialized, non-critical people. We invite all students to participate in a mass mobilization on Thursday, January 16, a 10:30 rally in the parking lot of Stephanis on Athalassa Avenue, and then march to the Presidential Palace to shout for a people-centered and democratic school. "We want a school that educates comprehensively and not destroys," he concludes.
