The Turkish Cypriot unions protested against the construction of the new building complex, which will house the "presidential" and the "parliament" and the Turkish Cypriot leader's response to the criticism of the plan, the Turkish Cypriot press reported today.

The platform called on the "government" to focus on the real problems facing the Turkish Cypriots, such as the financial crisis, and invest in education, health and infrastructure.

As part of yesterday's mobilization, Guven Bengihan, president of the Turkish Civil Servants' Union (KTAMS), criticized Ersin Tatar for asking for 586 million TL for the construction of a new "presidential".

"The country does not need a new presidential palace but a healthy education and training system, safety on the road network, and upgrading the living standards of the citizens," he said.

In statements made during yesterday's rally, the president of the Turkish Teachers' Union (KTÖS), Siener Elzil, described as wrong the obsession that exists for a new "presidential".

Besides, the newspaper "Gunes" publishes today the response of the "president" to the criticisms he receives from the t / c "platform of guilds" for the construction of the building complex that will house the "presidential palace" and the "parliament".

According to the "presidency", "some circles take advantage of the whole issue and make aggressive statements and claims that follow the logic of the Cold War period".

He also said that the new plan for the construction of the building complex "is very important in terms of deepening the perception of the new policy for two equal sovereign states and signals the sovereignty and independence" of the pseudo-state.
