Two brothers arrested for causing malicious damage to the Limassol Police Department and attacking police officers

Two brothers from Limassol in the first aid department of the Limassol General Hospital caused a disturbance.

The two, who were arrested and detained, are being investigated for assault with actual bodily harm, resisting lawful arrest, causing malicious damage, threatening violence and obstructing a police officer during the lawful performance of his duties.

According to the police, the two young men, aged 24 and 26, had gone to the hospital in order for the doctors to examine one of them after his illness.

The young people started complaining about the delay, as they claimed, that it existed, and started shouting.

According to the police, one of them broke a glass and the two special police officers who were there to guard the hospital intervened immediately.

One young man, according to police, grabbed the female police officer by the neck and the other pushed the other police officer. Eventually, police said, they were stopped and arrested.

The two young men were taken to a police station, and after obtaining a warrant, they were taken into custody.
