A seismic tremor of magnitude M = 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded on Monday at 09:23, by the seismic network of the Geological Survey of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.
According to an announcement by the Department of Geological Survey, the quake affected the marine area 18 km northwest of Morphou and a focal depth of 50 km.
The earthquake was felt in a large part of the island due to its great focal depth, especially in the provinces of Paphos, Limassol and Nicosia.
