The 14th memorial service for the victims of the Sun is being held at Grammatiko

The 14th memorial service for the victims of the air tragedy of "Ilios" is being held today in Grammatiko, Attica, in the presence of dozens of relatives from Cyprus.

As Niki Michailidou, a member of the committee of relatives of the victims of "Ilios", stated in KYPE, about 60 relatives of the victims from Cyprus, together with relatives of the victims living in Greece and representatives of organizations, will go to the place of the tragedy for memorial service, with the total number estimated at 150 people.

The memorial service will be held by the Metropolitan of Kifissia, Maroussi and Oropos Cyril, in the presence of the Ambassador of Cyprus to Greece Kyriakos Kenevezos and representatives of the local government, while parties, organizations and institutions will lay a wreath in memory of the victims. It will be preceded by a Divine Liturgy, in the church in Grammatiko, while then all the participants will climb to the top of the mountain, at the point of the plane crash, where a trishagio will be performed.

The "Sun" Boeing, which was carrying 115 passengers and a crew of six, bound for Pragma and a stopover in Athens, crashed at 12:04 pm on August 14, 2005, in Grammatiko, Attica.
