On the need for a protocol in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest The Pancyprian Footballers' Association points out in an announcement, noting that "Unfortunately in Cyprus there are not yet in all stadiums the appropriate conditions and equipment to deal with cases of sudden cardiac arrest."

"The incident with the collapse of Christian Eriksen at the recent European Football Championship has alarmed everyone on the football field, especially with regard to the need for action plans for immediate and appropriate medical care," PASP said.

He adds that "The quick response of the doctors saved Eriksen's life, while otherwise, there is no doubt that we would lose the Danish footballer."

As PASP claims, "Despite the above incident, but also of the rest that have followed until today in football stadiums around the world, unfortunately in Cyprus there are still not in all stadiums the appropriate conditions and equipment to deal with cases of sudden cardiac arrest."

He also points out "The need to clarify all the needs in the stadiums and primarily the training of all players, based on the relevant instructions of UEFA, which must be implemented immediately, in their entirety, in our country."

PASP also expresses its concern "about unsuitable", as he states, "Clinics in a number of stadiums and the lack of coordination and training of all staff, especially in the smaller categories ".

"Saving a human life, in case of heart failure, is a matter of minutes, and it is not allowed that there are no clear procedures and the necessary equipment, in every stadium where football or sports) action is carried out", concludes PASP.
