After the necessary waiting, the first photos and information about the new Mazda 3 were released, which is inspired by the design philosophy KODO.
The new Japanese hatchback made its appearance, stealing the impressions, thanks to its elegant as well as aggressive design. More specifically, the "flowing" curved lines at the front, are harmoniously combined with the new mask, creating a very sporty ensemble.
Also, the body is slightly larger (although only 1.190 kg) than the previous generation, with a length of 4.465 mm.
In fact, the wheelbase of 2.700 mm. shows that the spaces for the passengers are more than satisfactory. A very important element is also the increase of luggage space to 350 liters (10 liters extra).
On the other hand, inside, as the first photos reveal, the Mazda 3 has a new "square" and simple console, while the touch screen is also characteristic.
In terms of mechanical components, we find three petrol and one diesel engines, which incorporate SKYACTIV technology.
The most important is the 1,5 lt. gasoline engine, which delivers 100 hp and 150 Nm of torque, followed by 2,0 l. with 120 hp and 210 Nm of torque (or 165 hp in its second version).
At the same time, the 2,2 liter diesel engine with 150 hp and 380 Nm of torque will be available. All engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual (or optional automatic) gearbox.
