As for the body of the E-Class, we will see this in addition to its sedan version in station wagon, cabrio and coupe. As a result of the longer wheelbase is the increased length of the body by 43 mm. at 4.923 mm. It is worth noting that the aerodynamic coefficient is extremely low at Cd 0,23. Price that will allow the E-Class even lower consumption on the highway as well as lower level of aerodynamic noise. Its aesthetics, obviously, borrows many elements from both the smaller C-Class and the larger S-Class.

Going into the luxury interior, Mercedes promises even better sound insulation, while it has installed two digital screens, color of course, one for the instrument panel and the other for the multimedia system, size 12,3 ″. This is for the top version, as the rest will have an analog instrument panel with a small digital display for the trip computer, while the center console will also have a smaller screen at 8,4 inches. Technologically, Mercedes-Benz has prepared many surprises for us in the E-Class as it will equip it with the "Car-to-X" system, which allows communication between cars equipped with the same technology. Along with this there will be the Steering Pilot that allows autonomous driving up to 130 km / h and cooperates with active cruise control that follows the car ahead leaving a predetermined distance at speeds of up to 200 km / h.

At launch, the E-Class will have the E220d versions with 195 horsepower (diesel) and the E200 with 184 horsepower (petrol) both with a capacity of 2,0 liters. In fact, according to Mercedes, the diesel engine will emit only 102 g / km. CO2 and will have an average consumption of 3,9 l / 100km. Of course, there will be more powerful versions, while AMG will be at the top of the range. At the other end we will see the hybrid E350e which will probably deliver a combined 280 hp.

The transmission will be on the rear axle or on all four wheels (depending on the version) with the help of a 6-speed manual transmission or the new 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission.
