Mercedes unveiled the original S-Class coupe in Frankfurt with a "fresh" design, while the production model will be released next year.The German brand has prepared the S-Class's advertised coupe with more aggressive lines, so the result is imposing, but at the same time "youthful" and "spirited".
Externally, the large grille and front feature a more dynamic image than the sedan version, as the elongated headlights and sharply sloping windshield create a very aerodynamic set. With dimensions of 5.050 mm. length, 1.985 mm width and 1.409 mm. height, the "muscular" body sits on 21-inch alloy wheels, while the wheelbase reaches 2.945 mm.
Inside again, a more futuristic and austere philosophy was followed, as it is an original and not a production model.
The white instrument panel and two 12,3-inch touch screens occupy most of the dashboard, while the export of the aircondition is also made of white aluminum with ceramic finish, exuding an overall "airplane smell". It should be noted that beef soft leather was used for the seats and the upholstery of the surfaces.
At the same time, the advanced technology - such as 3D stereo cameras that project the road up to 50 meters in front - provides a unique support and safety while driving, while the "MAGIC BODY CONTROL" suspension system, "predicts" road irregularities and helps for a smoother and more comfortable movement.
On the other hand, under the hood is a 8 liter V4,6. Biturbo engine, producing 455 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.
Finally, the German brand is expected to launch the new coupe, as a production model at the beginning of next year, or until March 2014.
