Four other tourists were added to the long list of those honored and named "Ayia Napa Tourism Ambassadors".
These are the couples Kevin and Patricia Hebb from the United Kingdom, who have visited Ayia Napa 50 times and Erich and Esther Brodmann from Switzerland, who have made 25 visits so far.
A written announcement states that Mayor Giannis Karousos "honored the regular visitors and lovers of Ayia Napa in a special ceremony held at the Municipal Palace. Mr. Karousos, after explaining to the two couples the institution of "Ambassador of Tourism of Ayia Napa", and the reasons for the awarding of this honorary distinction of the Municipality, warmly thanked them that Ayia Napa remained for a number of years as the permanent destination for their vacation ".
"Your regular visits to our city" said the Mayor to the honored tourists "are undoubtedly a clear example to imitate but also to promote our tourist resort abroad as they prove in practice that Ayia Napa is a special city worth visiting".
