The assurance ceremony of the hired women Contract Hoplites took place today at KEN Larnaca after the completion of the initial training-adaptation period.
282 women took the legal oath and are now organically included in the ranks of the National Guard. In his greeting, the Minister of Defense, Mr. Christoforos Fokaidis, stressed that today is a historic day for the National Guard. With today's swearing-in ceremony of the first SYOP women, he said, the success of a great and historic reform, which is already producing results, is sealed in the most categorical way.
