More than 50% of computer users suffer from eye strain, headaches and blurred vision. These symptoms often affect the general health of the person, creating an overall feeling of fatigue which leads to reduced performance even at work…

In addition, there are indications that, in some rare cases, people who work long hours at a computer have an increased risk of glaucoma.

Some of the above are easy to fix, for example, with a screen filter, changing its position or properly illuminating the workspace. But the most important of all is the frequent and minute breaks from the PC screen. Five to ten minutes every hour, they are necessary for the rest of the eyes.

Ophthalmic symptoms due to PC:

• Headache during and after PC use
• Eyes dry and / or irritated
• Blurred vision
• Slow refresh while using the screen
• After long hours of PC use, there is difficulty in seeing distant objects
• Occasional diplomacy
• Bad assessment of colors
Generally physical symptoms due to PC
• Neck and / or shoulder pain
• Back pain
• Fatigue, perhaps pain, in the hands and wrists
• Reduced performance at work, often mistakes and payment

Ways to avoid such phenomena:

• The computer screen should be at a slightly lower level than the eye.
• The keyboard should be in such a position that the bottom of the arms and the nuts are parallel to the ground.
• The seat must have adjustable parts to suit the user's needs.
• Thighs should also be parallel to the ground as well as hands.
• The contrast and brightness of the screen must be set to the desired user level so that it feels comfortable and does not tire of the eyes.
• The room lighting must be 3 times stronger than the screen.
• Screen filter must be used.
• It is important to work on a large screen so that it does not bother to read a text or write it.
• The screen should not reflect light from a window or other light source.
• It is necessary to regularly clean the screen from dust.
• While the most important of all, as mentioned species, are the short and frequent breaks of 2-3 minutes each 15-20 minute / 5 minute for every half hour work or 10 minutes for one hour of work.
