A wonderful surprise awaited yesterday, Friday 13 December 2013, the children, teachers and parents of the Second Elementary School Sotira. Shortly before one o'clock in the afternoon, the leading Greek artist Sakis Rouvas arrived at the school premises.
The children welcomed him with great joy and enthusiasm singing his song "We become better" and joined their voices with him in Christmas carols. He then watched Christmas dances by his little friends and put his own touch on the painting made in the "Friendship and Communication" room by volunteer painters, children and teachers.

More specifically, it is expected to create such a space (indoor and outdoor) to give children the opportunity to grow their own organic vegetables and flowers, to create their own fertilizer, to recycle, to eat healthily, to decorate their premises with elegance, as they will communicate with calm, love, sympathy and cooperation.
For this purpose, with voluntary work by members of the Association of Parents and Guardians, the existing Home Room has been transformed into a parallel Room of Friendship, Communication and Emotions, where a healthy breakfast will be prepared with the initiative, planning and organization of the children themselves and the support. of the Parents' Association.
At the same time, the utilization of the northeastern exterior of the room has been started, which is part of the school forest in which a sheltered space will be created and benches with built-in tables will be placed so that children can play board and other games, listen to music and communicate, resolve any personal differences, develop new friendships.
As an ambassador of the volunteering campaign "Participation" and with the motto of "Together we become better", Sakis Rouvas, known for his philanthropic work, speaking to the students, stressed the importance of volunteering, offering and selflessness, giving special in the fact that by participating we become "all better together".
