The second quadripartite Meeting of the Ministers of Energy of Cyprus - Greece - Italy and Israel, which will take place today in Nicosia, is considered crucial for the construction of the submarine pipeline EastMed.
The four Ministers, in the presence of a representative of the European Commission Energy Commissioner, will sign a memorandum of understanding to further boost energy planning focusing on the European Eastern Mediterranean Gas Corridor.
At two and 15 in the afternoon the Ministers of Energy will give a joint press conference.
Meanwhile, the dates for the trilateral meetings on energy issues with Israel and Jordan at the level of leaders were set yesterday.
The Cyprus-Greece-Israel meeting will take place in Nicosia on January 8, and the Cyprus-Greece-Jordan meeting will also take place in Nicosia on January 16, with the presence of Jordan's King Abdullah.
