The road of Turkey for the European Union passes through Nicosia, points out the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis in an interview with the Sunday newspaper "REAL NEWS".
Mr. Anastasiadis notes that "we have only one plan, the solution of the Cyprus problem", insisting that Turkey must abandon claims that guarantee the security of one community, but are a threat to the other.
"The inter-communal dialogue on the internal aspects of the Cyprus problem can be resumed immediately and at the same time an international conference can be prepared that will lead to a truly independent and sovereign state, without any anachronistic conditions of guarantees, invasive rights or the presence of an occupying army," he said.
