The former Brazilian football ace Ronaldinho is added to the list of celebrities around the world who have expressed their regret for the tragedy that Greece is experiencing in the last 24 hours from the fiery flame in Eastern Attica.

The "magician" of the "round Goddess" uploaded a photo on his Instagram account on Thursday afternoon, in which he is immortalized praying in front of the Greek flag and the Parthenon, accompanying it with the following message written in Greek:

"I am in pain for our Greece and our Athens. Courage, my Greek brothers, my thoughts and prayers together ", while he put the hashtag #PrayForGreece and the Greek flag.

In the first half hour, the post of "Roni" gathered more than 250.000 hearts - the corresponding likes on Facebook - and over 2.200 comments, many of them from Greek instagram users. "Thank you, Ronnie. We feel you are ours and you are always in our hearts "," thank you Ronaldinho "," well done to a legend of world football "were some of the comments.

Ronaldinho has in the past expressed his admiration for Greece and his love for the Greeks. Besides, he has visited our country several times, for summer vacations, to have fun in a nightclub or in the context of commercial agreements with sponsors.

Despite the fact that he has hung up his football boots, he remains one of the hottest names. In June 2017 he was in Athens and "broke them" in the center where Antonis Remos appeared, while the next day he left on a cruise ship to Mykonos from where he watched the Champions League final at sea, as a guest of a well-known beer.
