The funeral of the hero Antonis A. Pantelis (Tailor) was held on Sunday, September 8, at the Church of the Resurrection in Sotira, whose bones were found in the area of Mia Milia and were identified by the method of genetic material.Crowds from Sotira, as well as other officials, were present at the funeral. The funeral was held at public expense by the Municipality of Sotiras, while the ritual of the event was undertaken by the Ministry of Defense.
On behalf of the Government, a funeral was delivered by the General Director of the Ministry of Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism, Dr. Stelios Heimonas, the Mayor Sotiras on behalf of the Municipality, the elder George Ioannou on behalf of the Church of the Savior and members of the Church of the Savior.
The hero was then buried in the Savior Cemetery.
