They claim the title of "bad" design and left an era with their eccentric shape. Here are ten models left in the history of the car for their bad aesthetics.
The well-known Japanese company presented the Isuzu VehiCross in 1997. A four-wheel drive vehicle with a 6 liter V3,5 petrol engine and many off road capabilities. The public has never accepted the design of the model and so this move by the Japanese was a commercial failure.
It was introduced in 2000 and was a mid-size SUV with quite bold lines. It was created during a difficult time for Pontiac and certainly did not help its finances. Although the original idea for the original model looked good, the public considered Aztec extremely bad.
Nissan S Cargo
It was created by Nissan in 1989 with the aim of being used as a professional city vehicle due to its small size. A 1,5-liter gasoline engine combined with a 3-speed automatic transmission took care of its movement. The S-Cargo managed to sell only 8.000 units in total, as its overall appearance was considered quite "strange".
Renault Avantime
With a 3-door body and versatile elements, the Avantime remained in production for two years with just 7.000 units in its assets. Apart from its special design, the negative reviews claimed that the frame suffered from torsional rigidity problems.
Reliant Robin
Undoubtedly Reliant Robin is one of the ugliest vehicles in our presentation. Launched in 1973, it had 3 wheels and an 850 cc engine with 50 horsepower. This particular vehicle was considered dangerous as it could easily be overturned when the driver had a higher speed.
Covini CW6
The Covini CW6 was an Italian super and was a project that started in the mid-70s. It went into production many years later due to mechanical problems. As we can see in the photo, this model was 6-wheeled, with the two axles at the front. Naturally, buyers in this category have never accepted the overall look of the Covini CW6.
Fiat Multipla
The first generation of the Multipla remained on the market from 1998 to 2010 and is considered one of the worst cars ever released. Although it had a special design, the 6-seater interior and unlimited spaces were the reason for many buyers to win the Fiat model. Of course, the Italian brand radically changed its design in 2010, giving it a much more "digestible" image.
SsangYong Actyon
The Korean company is not famous for its imaginative design of off-road cars. However, the Actyon was SsangYong's worst aesthetic vehicle, causing a lot of negative reviews in the market. Of course, its launch was not accompanied by significant sales figures.
AMC Gremlin
It was launched in 1970 and its strange shape was considered a April Fool's joke by the Americans because of its design. However, the Gremlin was the first compact model on the market and thus became a great commercial success in the United States market.
Marcos mantis
Marcos was a small British company engaged in the manufacture of sports cars, with mechanical parts from other brands. In 1968 he decided to get involved in larger constructions and so he built the Mantis with a Plexiglas body. The end result was disappointing!
