A Cultural Center that will bear the name of the Nobel Prize-winning poet Giorgos Seferis is inaugurated in Ayia Napa at the beginning of November by the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulidis
Specifically, on Friday November 03, the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulidis will celebrate at 6:30 p.m. in the central, historical square of the city, as part of the opening of the 6th Seferis Symposium, the inauguration of the "Giorgos Seferis" Cultural Center.
It is about the place, which was a beer hall, which the Municipality, after regaining it, turned it into a Culture and Arts Center and will rightly bear the name of the Greek Nobel Prize-winning Poet Giorgos Seferis, since his connection with Ayia Napa is more widely known , which he not only visited, but also wrote two poems in her name, "Agia Napa I" and "Agia Napa B".
The Mayor Mr. Christos Zannettou in his statements expressed his deep satisfaction that the Municipality of Ayia Napa managed to regain the beer hall and turn it into a Cultural Center in which lectures and occasional exhibitions will be held.
The Cultural Center "Giorgos Seferis added, together with the changes that will be made in the wider area of the square, will soon be the central reference point of the Municipality and the preeminent cultural area of Ayia Napa in the heart of the city, "a place - landmark, witness of many historical events and above all the place that was the connecting link between Ayia Napa and the Nobel laureate poet Georgios Seferis".
