Bathing habits: Many of the habits we have are harmful. We just do not know. In fact, we make them at home. Some of them are made in the bathroom. See the following list and you will understand. In more detail:
Bathing habits: Shave the bikini area
Hair growth in the bikini area is completely normal. Protects sensitive areas from germs and infections. By shaving the bikini area, then, we leave the skin exposed to bacteria. We are bothering it for no serious reason.
But if you have to, try to be as clean as possible. Try to use the right razors and very good quality care products. Not a simple soap. This is not suitable for this sensitive area of the body. If again, you prefer to do hair removal - e.g. with wax - it is better to do it by a specialist, than to do it yourself.
We rub the body with loofah
Loofahs are fine only when they are brand new. After the very first use, they collect a lot of dirt and staying to dry in the wet bath, soon fill with germs. In short, every time you use the loofah from there, germs migrate into your body.
One solution is to change it very often. Another, put it to dry outside the bath - in the sun e.g. But you can also use special cloths for washing that dry and are easier to clean or, instead of rubbing in the bathroom with loofahs and sponges, you can peel a little more often.
Bathing habits: We wash the body only where we see or reach
Your body is only protected against bacteria and skin diseases when it is completely clean. Many times, however, we wash only where we see or reach our hand, with the consequence that we do not take care of the back, the soles of the feet or places like the back of the ears properly. To prevent this, it is good to use special brushes that, in addition to cleaning well, remind us to wash everywhere.
Leave the toothbrush "lying down" on the sink
The bathroom is not the cleanest part of our house and bacteria party in the humid environment. So, because the toothbrush is not one of the accessories that we would like to fill with germs, it is better not to leave it on the sink or anywhere else. It is good practice to place it upright in a glass and, of course, to replace it often - every 3 months at most.
Bathing habits: Dry your face with a towel
Even if you have a different towel for your face, it is not safe to wipe with it, especially if you have sensitive skin or skin problems. Each time you dry your face, hang the wet towel in the bathroom and the germs that accumulate return to your skin with the next wipe. For safer drying of your face, you can easily use disposable towels.
We hang the wet towels in the bathroom
Humidity promotes the growth of bacteria and the bathroom - which is usually not well ventilated - is the worst place to leave your wet towels. Especially since the limited space usually does not allow them to hang at a short distance from each other. To prevent your towels from becoming hotbeds of germs and infections, you can have a dry place to hang them for drying or even change the bath towel with each use.
Bathing habits: We draw a cistern with an open lid
When pulling the cistern, we rarely close the lid. We ignore its most important use. This is to protect the atmosphere of the bath from the droplets that are thrown. This is because water falls with momentum. Somehow, the germs reach the towels, the sink, even our toothbrush. The solution is obvious: close the lid. And because it's a matter of habit, find a way to remember it every time you get used to doing it mechanically.
We gather the hair at the top of the head when we bathe
If your hair is difficult to comb and is constantly tangled, even if you have used conditioner, then you may not wash it properly. If you gather the hair on the top of the head while you bathe, then it gets tangled again and when it dries it is as if you have not bathed at all. To avoid confusion, wash your hair when it is natural and massage it locally on the skin, without picking up the hair at this point.
