- Today, two days after my partner's funeral, I received a bouquet of flowers he had ordered for me last week. The note read: "Even if cancer wins, I want you to know that you are the woman of my dreams."
- Today, I won a court case that had lasted a long time. 14 months ago, I discovered that my neighbor was regularly hitting his dog. So, I kidnapped him and he arrested me. I spent a lot of money on the trial, but today I woke up and felt the warmth of a hairy friend on my feet and at that moment I knew that it was all worth it.
- Love: My daughter came home from school and asked me where she could learn sign language. I asked her why she wanted to learn sign language and she told me that a new girl had come to school, who had lost her hearing and had no one to speak to.
- Today, I chose the wrong number and accidentally sent a message to my dad saying "I love you." The message was intended for my husband. A few minutes later, I received the answer "I love you too." It was so moving. We rarely say such things to each other.

We talked for about half an hour and before we left he showed me the painting of Superman that he always has in his wallet.
- I have diabetes. Two years ago, my mom died and I adopted her cat, Kit. Recently, I woke up at 3 in the morning when Kit was sitting on my feet and urinating. I had never heard him urinate louder and more persistently. I got up to see what was happening and suddenly I felt very weak. I grabbed my glucose meter to check my blood sugar level. It had dropped to 53 and my doctor had told me that the normal level was 70-120. Later, at the hospital, I was told that if Kit had not woken me up at that time I would never have woken up.
