Nikos Kougialis does not withdraw his interest in the presidency of APOEL, but, as he states in a written statement, his contacts with prominent and historical APOEL executives continue and have intensified.
"Regarding yesterday's article that claimed that I have permanently and irrevocably withdrawn my interest in the presidency of APOEL, I have to say that my presence at the General Assembly of the Association, on the contrary, proves the exact opposite. My contacts with prominent and historical APOEL executives continue and have intensified. "The same executives have asked me to be the leader of a combination that will lead the most historic team in Cyprus", he notes.
He mentions, finally, that very soon he will have a full-fledged meeting with Prodromos Petridis, President of APOEL Football Ltd, which is also the biggest financier of the Association.
