The main goal and essential goal of the World Organization "100.00 poets for change" is on the one hand to highlight and concern the public opinion around various issues that afflict the world community, on the other hand to cultivate a climate of solidarity and dialogue for the creation of , which will contribute to the confrontation and consequently to their solution, said the Secretary of the Council of Ministers, Theodosis Tsiolas at the event of the World Organization "100.000 poets for change" at the XNUMXnd Primary School of Avgorou.

According to a relevant announcement, in his greeting Mr. Tsiolas stated that it is a common acceptance that wars, poverty, social inequality, racism, environmental pollution and ecological problems are modern challenges for all humanity.

The fact that this event gives the impetus to spiritual people to take an active part in a substantial and collective process and to express through the art of speech thoughts, ideas, feelings and reflections, is considered particularly important.

"Because spiritual people stand with respect for man and his cultural values, understand the distinctive cultural features of nations and at the same time perceive and interpret the world creating culture."

Mr. Tsiolas stated that the creative expression in every art form is a model of elegance and includes joy, hope and optimism and that is why "we welcome and applaud the participation of Cyprus in this global event as well as the painstaking efforts of the organizers in order to to carry out their mission responsibly and successfully ".

He noted that the material collected from all events will be recorded in the archives of Stanford University and will remain there as research material. This year the works are dedicated to the occupied city of Famagusta.
