The JOBSbnb finds work in bars, cafes, restaurants and hotels, in all specialties and in fact in the areas and hours that suit the prospective employees. This is a Greek platform that "suits" those who are looking work/labour in catering and tourism with potential employers, helping them to work together, on their own terms.

- How does JOBSbnb work and how did the idea come about?

The idea of ​​creating JOBSbnb arose from the identified need for better and faster solutions for finding staff in the catering and tourism sectors.

Our team, with many years of experience in e-commerce, marketing and catering companies, conducted a market research, which confirmed that in this industry they make recruitments very often, due to the frequent movement and change of staff, but they do it either with traditional offline ways that are not efficient, or online ways that are not targeted but still lag behind.

This gap is being filled by JOBSbnb, operating as a matching service, as a dating application for example, exclusively for the catering and tourism industries. JOBSbnb consists of the JOBSbnb mobile app which is downloaded for free to iOS and Android devices by job-seeking job seekers and the JOBSbnb platform used by catering and tourism businesses to search for staff.

These two systems are interconnected and every time a company is looking for an employee, it can immediately see how many candidates there are in its area, with the features it wants and send them a push notification to "hang up" and close interview or even collaborate directly.

The whole product is structured to meet the needs of fast and targeted finding the right employee, for the right position. There are no ads and it is not necessary to categorize and read CVs. The company simply notifies the candidates it chooses! It turns out, searching and finding the really available staff in an area can take even less than 1 minute, while scheduling an interview or hiring, depending on the response of the candidates, can take up to 5 minutes!

Everything is done automatically, based on filters set by the company, for each position it wishes to fill, while, operating with a service that offers real value to all parties, companies can rate employees, and vice versa , after the end of a collaboration.

- What job can one find?

The specialties covered by our application are all those that one can find in a company that belongs to the broader branches of tourism and catering.

 

Starting from a very common specialty that can easily come to mind, such as that of waiter, barista, chef, cashier, delivery, the bartender, the grill-wrapper, the maid and the receptionist, we cover even more specialized, such as housekeeper, lifeguard, masseur, meter, sommelier, skipper, valet or even Disk Jockey.

There are currently more than 50 specialties in total, with the aim of adding a few more soon, so that we can better serve the needs of businesses and candidates even better and more fully.

- What are the benefits for the employee and what for the employer who will use the specific digital platform?

The candidate can initially download and use the JOBSbnb application free, therefore, it costs him nothing but time to fix his profile and filters.

What he gets as a benefit, is that using our application, he declares himself available for work. So every time he receives a notification from a company, he knows that this company has already selected him based on the availability he stated.

If he receives the notice and sees it immediately, he knows that this position has just opened, so he is already a candidate for an interview, in a position that has just been created and for which he did not even apply! The company has already seen his profile, his financial requirements, his previous service and has already approved him and wants to close an interview. Then, at the touch of a button, it can confirm its availability or reject it. And this is done in real time.

Therefore, through JOBSbnb, any contact with companies means either interview or recruitment.

- In summer the demand for work in tourism and catering is high. Suppose someone finds a job through JOBSbnb. Can we talk about a legally guaranteed job with a salary and insurance?

JOBSbnb, as a service, establishes the communication between the need of the employer and the really available employee. The agreement that will be made during the recruitment is not an object that JOBSbnb can know, therefore control.

However, to make the hiring process easier for the employer, the JOBSbnb enables, with special fields in the employee's profile, to state all the necessary information needed for the recruitment (TIN, AMA, AMKA, etc.), which are notified by the employee's consent to the entrepreneur, automatically, in order to facilitate and expedite all recruitment actions.

- How do you ensure that the profiles of prospective employees and companies / employers are true and that both men and women are not at risk of falling victim to some kind of fraud?

All the companies that cooperate with JOBSbnb, enter our network after communication, so in any case we know who the company is and who the people behind it are. There can be no fraud on this side.

Regarding the candidates, as in any free and open platform or application, one cannot exclude its use in a portion of users who either do not have a serious purpose or state false information. This simply does not end the communication with the employer.

For the "scam" at the technical level, we have taken all the necessary technical security measures to avoid malicious actions against the platform and the application.

For "fraud" at the usage level, there will always be users who declare untrue information or previous service etc. Even on large platforms like Linkedin this happens, because everyone has the right to this free access. But we have ways to deal with that as well.

Initially, we handle the personal data of all parties with great care, as required by the new privacy policy. Under this directive, we have terms and procedures that "guide" users on how to create a professional profile to avoid those who are not really interested.

A simple example of this is the option to log in via Facebook, which for the user is on the one hand a very easy and fast option to enter our application for the first time, for JOBSbnb however, it is a confirmation that the user who has selected this way of entry, accepts and meets, even to a small degree, the minimum standards for creating a profile, which will probably be neither malicious nor indifferent, so it will be our active user.

- What are your next plans? For example, Are you thinking of adding more jobs in the future besides catering and tourism?

This service is developed in such a way as to cover exclusively the special needs of 2 sectors that affect the GDP of the whole of Greece (participation of tourism and catering = 19% of GDP). At the moment, there is nothing similar that combines this targeting and this model, so although it is early, we anticipate that there is no reason to add anything more.

We are also pleased to say that after 4 months of operation, our application counts more than 25.000 employees exclusively in the tourism and catering sectors.

Our goal is to become the brand with the top of mind awareness, what all those involved in tourism and catering, who need to find work or staff, will think. JOBSbnb to become their main tool for this purpose.

After achieving this goal, the JOBSbnb will open its wings abroad as an application, in nearby European countries, for job seekers in Greece, especially for the summer season where it is the peak of seasonality.
