We are going through a year with particularities for Cypriot tourism, stated Deputy Minister Kostas Koumis. Speaking on the Third Program of the state radio, he prioritized the international aviation crisis as the biggest problem. In particular for Cyprus, this crisis does not allow a specific company to carry out flight programs with high frequency.

Problem for Cypriot tourism also from the war conflicts in the region although the Israeli market shows signs of recovery. A third issue that dictates reduced arrivals is the economic instability in major European countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom and France, said the deputy minister.

Mr. Koumis stated that they remain optimistic with the aim of moving tourist traffic to last year's levels.
