This girl always has a huge warm smile, a smile on her eyes, on her face, on her soul. She is very social, communicative and always willing to bridge the differences of others or even to give her life for a relative or loved ones.

He has been traveling since he was two years old in the darkest streets of suffering and pain, endless hours until dawn, but in the morning he could see the sun in full swing, feel its warmth and continue to smile…

Maria Manakou reports on ant1iwo:
"I was born on 25/5/1985 in South Africa. My mother is Cypriot and my father is half Greek and half African. I have an even younger sister and since 1987 we have been living permanently in Cyprus.
I was a very healthy child and very lively. Unfortunately, when I was two years old, I had a terrible car accident…
My mother and I were walking and we were on the sidewalk. She was holding my hand but at some point I ran away from her and she ran on the street. A car was passing by and hit me. Everything was done in a few seconds…

I was immediately taken to the hospital. I had to have surgery and hospitalized for quite some time. My parents thought I would be completely well but unfortunately, their doctors told me to stay paraplegic.
I do not remember myself running, playing in the yard όμως But I remember when I was 10 years old, that was when I started to feel very bad. The difficulties were like hell, an everyday hell. I also remember how closed I was. After 18 I changed, I went out more and I saw myself becoming more and more social. When I finished school, I studied secretarial. I deal with basketball, wheelbarrow (special bike for people with disabilities) and dance.
I knew from a very young age that you can not overcome disability. You live it every day. You just learn, live and compromise with her. I used to say to myself: "either you blow or you come out in life". I chose to come to life !!! Also, I always learned to say: "there is no I can but I do not want". I have friends and I go out often. I dream and I always smile! I love life and people.

I ask all the people who happened to experience similar situations with me, to go out, make friends and find a hobby to deal with. Only then will they feel beautiful. To smile and look, to rejoice in the sky and the sun because only in this way is our soul filled with strength and optimism! "
