Actor and presenter Nick Cannon burst into tears during his show when he announced to viewers that his five-month-old son had died of a brain tumor.
Nick Cannon's son Zen was diagnosed with a brain tumor when he was 2 months old. His father described in tears his last moments of his son. The actor revealed that he took his son to the beach on Sunday, where Nick Cannon also held Zen for the last time. He died shortly afterwards.
Canon explained that the health issue with Zen started when he was just 2 months old, when he and the baby's mother, model Alyssa Scott, noticed that his head looked big and they thought he had a sinus problem.
Doctors initially thought that fluid was accumulating in Zen's head. However, after examinations they discovered a tumor in the brain that needed immediate surgery. Unfortunately, little Zen's tumor grew rapidly, losing his battle with death just three months later.
Canon has a total of six other children. He was married to Mariah Carey with whom he has two children.
